EXEDY Receives an Award from the Iga Fire Department For Practicing First Aid in the Workplace
On August 29th, 2013, the EXEDY's Ueno plant received an award from the Iga Fire Department in recognition for EXEDY's training and practice of first aid in the workplace.
On July 30th, at 6:45 in the evening, an employee within the Ueno factory went into cardiac arrest. A worker that was nearby performed CPR and afterwards used an AED machine to recessatate the worker. The worker was moved to a hospital in Nagoya and since then been released.
One hundred and forty-nine employees of EXEDY, roughly 10 percent, are certified in first aid. Mr. Baba from the Ueno plant has received a letter of appreciation in regards to the training of first aid within EXEDY. Mr. Baba then commented 'we would like to continue training first aid to the employees.'
