Furniture Design App “DIY Designer” Launches
We are pleased to announce the launch of our innovative platform service, “DIY Designer,” which allows users to design custom-sized furniture and receive pre-cut wood materials necessary for assembly from a home improvement center. （https://diy-designer.com）
Based on nine pre-prepared furniture templates, users can design (and plan) their own custom-sized furniture in 3D on the app and place orders for the required wood materials for assembly, as well as request wood cutting services, all within the app. Additionally, users can choose to pick up the cut wood materials from designated home improvement center stores.
The wood purchase, cutting request, and store pickup services will initially be available from May 7, 2024, at two stores operated by Gooday Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture) – “Tokyo Fukuoka Store” and “Doi Store.” （https://gooday.co.jp/）
DIY Designer aims to provide an app that brings the joy of creating closer to everyone and strives to create a world where anyone can become a “DIY designer” by designing furniture that reflects their own style. In the future, we plan to launch services such as “functionality to post creations” and “a community for sharing ideas among users.” We will also gradually expand the availability of store pickups for wood materials.
